Bar/Bat Mitzvah Teens Love Fortune Telling

A few weeks ago I went up to beautiful Mount Kisko, New York to entertain adults and teens at a Bat Mitzvah.  It was a large crowd (175 guests) and a lively, beautiful affair.   The main focus was to be on the teens but we also wanted to give some attention to the adults.

To accomplish this we began the evening with Strolling Readings during the cocktail hour. With guests flowing both indoors and outside on the terrace, the Strolling allowed me to move among the guests giving the hosts great coverage.  I engaged with many groups of adults offering fortune telling with palm readings and the tarot deck.  It was a big hit.

The rest of the event was focused primarily on the teenagers.   A round, draped table and chairs was set up for the readings so that groups of teens could gather around me and listen in on each other’s fortunes.   (they love that)   I was excited to see how popular the fortune telling was with the teen boys at this event. They were totally into it; having fun learning about the tarot, clowning around with each other over the readings and asking lots of questions.

The teens were having so much fun that when it was time for my meal break, they asked if they could join me at my table (while I ate) and give each other readings.  Dining company!  They were quite intuitive and I was impressed by the readings they were giving each other.  Needless to say, they were having a blast.
